Job summary

Synchrony is seeking an AVP, Authentication – Wallets to lead monitoring, risk mitigation and strategy for wallet programs. You will partner with Fraud Strategy, Emerging Payments and Acquisitions teams to defend against fraud while enabling digital wallet adoption.

The role requires a Bachelor's or 10+ years in finance/fintech, strong data analytics (SAS/SQL/R/Python) and advanced Excel skills. Travel to hubs may be required. Remote/hybrid work options are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years in Marketing, Risk or Collections in Financial services.
• Experience analyzing large data sets to derive strategies and insights using SAS, SQL, R or Python.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel.
• Ability and flexibility to travel for business as required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor authentication performance and its impact on wallet performance.
• Develop tactical and strategic actions plans to address wallets/tokenization fraud risk.
• Partner with Emerging Payments team on tokenization and digital wallets programs.
• Partner with acquisitions and account management fraud policy teams on early days since provisioning authorization rules.
• Build and manage dashboards, analyze user behavior, identify journey friction, and drive improvements.
• Perform deep dive analysis of authentication leakage.
• Research and respond to complaints regarding the wallets program.
• Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
