Job summary

WSP USA in California is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Transportation Architect to lead transit architecture projects within the California Transportation Facilities Team. The role will oversee the development of drawings, specifications, and construction documents, and work across small to mega projects.

Ideal candidates will hold a Bachelor's in Architecture, 10+ years of experience, and a California license, with strong AutoCAD, REVIT, SketchUp and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture required.
• 10+ years of post-education experience.
• Professional licensure/certification in California.
• Transit project experience in stations or maintenance facilities.
• Knowledge of building code, zoning, planning regulations and accessibility standards.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, REVIT, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and support transit architecture projects at multiple scales.
• Develop and coordinate drawings, schedules, specifications and other contract documents.
• Mentor junior staff and monitor project budgets and financial goals.
• Ensure technical quality and coordination per PIP/PQCP.
• Assist with business development and client presentations.
• Occasional travel may be required.
