Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Transportation Architect in California. The role leads transit architecture efforts, coordinates drawings and specifications, and mentors staff across San Francisco and Los Angeles projects.

Ideal candidates have a Architecture degree, CA licensure, 10+ years’ experience, and strong proficiency in AutoCAD, REVIT, SketchUp, and MS Office. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
• 10+ years of post-education experience in the discipline.
• Professional licensure/certification in California.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, REVIT, SketchUp and MS Office.
• Experience with building planning and design documentation.
• Knowledge of codes, accessibility and CalGreen.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and support transit architecture projects of varying size.
• Develop and coordinate drawings, schedules, specifications and contract docs.
• Prepare concept through construction documents with quality control.
• Mentor junior staff and oversee project teams.
• Ensure budget adherence and financial goals are met.
• Support business development and client presentations.
• Travel may be required based on project needs.
