Job summary

WSP USA is hiring an Assistant Vice President, Architect for our New York City office. You will lead and mentor design teams on transportation facilities projects, delivering front-to-back architecture from concept through construction.

The role requires NY licensure, 10+ years of experience, strong leadership, and a proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and client relationships. You’ll work within the Transportation Facilities Group to solve complex challenges and advance urban

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture with a focus in facility type experience.
10+ years of relevant post education experience.
Professional licensure (Registered Architect in NY).
Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations.
Experience leading design teams and projects end-to-end.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to coordinate with senior management and stakeholders.
Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and QA/QC.

Responsibilities

Lead design teams and manage large architecture projects from inception to completion.
Develop project approach and coordinate with stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with codes, permits, and standards.
Mentor staff and guide professional development.
Oversee budgets, hours, and subcontractors.
