Job summary

WSP is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Transportation Architect to lead complex transit architecture projects from offices in San Francisco or Los Angeles, CA. You will guide design teams, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure delivery within schedule and budget.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Architecture, California license, 10+ years of relevant experience, and strong proficiency with AutoCAD, REVIT, SketchUp. Master’s degree and LEED AP are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and California licensure required.
• 10+ years of post-education experience in architecture for transit projects.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, REVIT, SketchUp and MS Office; knowledge of design/construct.
• Experience with building codes, planning regulations, and accessibility standards.
• Strong ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and ensure project quality.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and oversee transit architecture projects of various scales.
• Develop and coordinate drawings, schedules, specs, and construction documents.
• Mentor junior staff and ensure technical quality and coordination.
• Support business development and present to clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with PIP/PQCP and safety policies.
