Job summary

First Community Credit Union is seeking an Assistant Accounting Manager (AVP) to lead the Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting team. You will identify, document, and record complex transactions under GAAP, including loan sales, securitizations, and derivatives, and ensure the accuracy of the GAAP financial statements.

You will also develop technical memos, accounting policies, and oversee journal entries, reconciliations, and period-end close while maintaining internal controls in line

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 3–5 years of FP&A, cost or managerial accounting experience.
• Experience in financial institutions preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the senior Accounting team and oversee key close processes.
• Prepare technical accounting memos and formal policies for complex transactions.
• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting docs.
• Oversee period-end close activities and ensure internal controls.
