Job summary

Nationwide is seeking an AVP of Pricing for its Property & Casualty (P&C) product lines. You will lead the pricing team, develop and implement pricing strategies, and ensure profitability while maintaining regulatory compliance.

This role emphasizes strong actuarial modeling, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration across product, finance, analytics, and leadership. You will oversee pricing tools and models, drive strategic pricing decisions, and report to senior management.

Qualifications

Education: FCAS designation or equivalent
Experience: 10+ years pricing/actuarial/product
5+ years in management leadership roles
Strong communication and business case development

Responsibilities

Develop and implement pricing strategies for specific P&C insurance products.
Provide strategic direction and leadership to the pricing team to meet product line objectives.
Oversee actuarial models and pricing tools; ensure data analysis supports pricing decisions.
Collaborate with leaders across product, finance, actuarial, analytics and other departments.
Monitor pricing performance and regulatory compliance; manage rate reviews and filings.
Report pricing insights and financial impact to senior management.
Oversee associate management including performance, salary planning, and development.
