Job summary

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company is seeking an AVP, Property & Casualty Pricing Leader to head pricing strategies for P&C products from a remote U.S. location.

The role oversees a pricing team, ensures regulatory compliance, and partners with senior leaders to drive profitability and market competitiveness. The ideal candidate has a FCAS designation, about ten years of pricing/actuarial experience, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate studies in actuarial science, business, finance, mathematics or economics.
• FCAS designation preferred for this senior pricing leadership role.
• Typically 10 years pricing/actuarial/product experience with 5 years of management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive pricing strategies for P&C products.
• Lead pricing team to achieve written premium, retention and loss ratio goals.
• Maintain actuarial models and pricing tools with strong data analytics.
• Collaborate with product, finance and analytics to align pricing with strategic goals.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and manage rate reviews and filings.
• Oversee staff performance, development, and hiring decisions.
