Job summary

First Command is seeking an AVP of Operations Support to lead critical ACH and wire processing, deposit operations, and readiness activities. You will oversee regulatory compliance, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration to drive operational excellence.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, process automation, and performance monitoring, with a focus on delivering accurate, timely service while maintaining robust controls.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years of banking, payments, treasury operations, or financial services experience.
• 5+ years of bank leadership experience, preferably in payment or deposit operations.
• AAP certification strongly preferred; other relevant certifications welcome.
• Strong knowledge of ACH, wire transfer, and deposit operations processes.
• Working knowledge of NACHA Rules, Federal Reserve operating requirements, and applicable banking regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop teams responsible for ACH processing, wire processing, and deposit operations.
• Identify and drive process improvements using automation and emerging technologies.
• Foster a culture of accuracy, accountability, and operational excellence.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, operating rules, policies, and internal controls.
• Oversee ACH, wire, and exception management for timely and accurate execution.
• Lead year-end operational close activities with cross-functional collaboration.
• Monitor performance, KRIs, and service levels to support data-driven decisions.
• Serve as escalation point for complex operational issues and client-impacting events.
• Represent Operations during audits, examinations, and enterprise initiatives.
• Partner with vendors and support functions to enhance capabilities and readiness.
