Job summary

Gentiva is seeking an Area Vice President of Hospice Operations to oversee and elevate our IN North multi-site programs. You will direct operations, ensure Medicare/state compliance, and drive strategic growth while upholding high-quality patient care and community engagement.

The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, and collaboration with physicians, hospitals, and care teams to optimize performance and care delivery across settings.

Qualifications

• RN degree preferred; Bachelor’s in healthcare admin or related field considered
• Experience leading multi-site hospice or healthcare operations
• Strong knowledge of Medicare, state licensing, accreditation
• Proven budgeting, staff leadership, and regulatory compliance
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to balance strategy, operations, and field leadership

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operational strategy across multiple hospice sites
• Ensure regulatory excellence; oversee surveys and audits readiness
• Develop and grow referral partnerships to meet revenue targets
• Provide patient-centered oversight across home, hospital, and long-term care settings
• Supervise executive directors, medical staff, and interdisciplinary teams
• Represent the organization in community partnerships and public relations
• Drive quality improvement and performance across programs
