Job summary

Humana is seeking an Associate Vice President, Model & AI Governance, to lead the enterprise framework for model governance and AI risk management. The role shapes responsible AI principles, risk taxonomy, and escalation, partnering with technology, data, compliance, and legal teams to ensure safe, ethical deployment of AI across the organization.

The executive will oversee validation standards, bias monitoring, and ongoing governance, reporting to risk committees and executive management.

Qualifications

• Executive leadership experience in regulated environments.
• Strong knowledge of AI/ML governance, risk, and ethics.
• Experience interfacing with executive leadership and boards.

Responsibilities

• Own and continuously enhance the enterprise model governance framework.
• Define model risk appetite, taxonomy, and escalation thresholds.
• Provide challenge over model development, validation, and monitoring.
• Oversee enterprise model inventory, ownership, and risk classification.
• Establish validation standards for performance, bias, and explainability.
• Develop and oversee Responsible AI framework and governance processes.
• Lead AI risk governance committees and report to executives and boards.
