Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking an Associate Vice President, Model & AI Governance, to lead the enterprise framework for model governance, AI risk management, and responsible AI.

The role collaborates with executive leadership across technology, data and analytics, compliance, privacy, and legal to ensure safe, ethical, and compliant AI deployments. The leader will establish governance standards, risk assessment processes, and monitoring across AI models, generative AI, and external providers, while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in risk management, model risk management, AI governance, technology risk, data governance, analytics, compliance, internal audit or related fields.
• Proven ability to lead enterprise-wide model governance and AI governance programs.

Responsibilities

• Own and enhance the enterprise model governance framework, including inventory, risk tiering, validation, and documentation.
• Define model risk appetite, taxonomy, controls, escalation thresholds, and governance standards.
• Provide challenge over model development, validation, implementation, monitoring and performance.
• Lead AI risk governance committees and report to executive management and boards.
