Aon is seeking an Assistant Vice President/Broker II in the Financial Services Group in Chicago, IL. This role focuses on developing strategic risk management solutions for large, global clients and overseeing insurance program design, marketing, and service management.

The successful candidate will bring peer market relationships and senior market connections to the table. The position is hybrid, based in our Chicago office, with responsibilities spanning client needs assessment, solution

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent years of proven experience.
• Minimum of 5+ years of financial lines insurance brokerage and/or underwriting experience with a concentration on Directors & Officers Liability, Employment Practices, Fiduciary, Crime and Special Risk.

Responsibilities

• Assess client needs, design solutions and negotiate with insurance carriers to obtain coverage that is in a client’s best interests.
• Develop and lead client relationships, account strategies and insurance marketing activities for book of business; act as primary negotiator for effective programs.
• Collaborate with Team Leaders, Producers, Account Executives and other client-facing members to understand and deliver on client needs.
• Identify and analyze client exposures; work with junior associates to develop risk treatment and placement strategies.
• Develop and execute, with the client, an agreed structure and strategy to obtain coverage.
• Provide guidance on market trends, pricing practices and underwriting policies; help develop department policies.
• Support and mentor junior staff; contribute to growth of personal book of business and team development.
