Job description

Zurich North America is hiring an AVP - Financial Reporting or Senior Financial Reporting Analyst to join our team! We are open to hiring talent in one of the following locations: Schaumburg, IL.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

1. Completion of monthly/quarterly close tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations, and other supporting schedules.
2. Delivering management financial statements and analysis of results.
3. Completion of quarterly IFRS submissions to Group.
4. Completion of quarterly/annual statutory filings, including separate accounts.
5. Developing a good working knowledge of relevant IFRS and statutory accounting principles.
6. Delivering solutions for large, highly complex projects.

This role will be filled at either the Senior OR AVP Level. The hiring manager will determine the appropriate level based upon the selected applicant’s experience and skill set relative to the qualifications listed for this position.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree and 6 or more years of experience in Accounting or Finance, OR
• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in Accounting or Finance, OR
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including Associate Degree and 6 or more years of experience in Accounting or Finance, AND
• Experience with accounting and financial reporting, general ledger, and reporting tools.

OR

• Bachelor's Degree and 10 or more years of experience in Accounting or Finance, OR
• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 12 or more years of experience in Accounting or Finance, AND
• Knowledge and experience using accounting principles.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Insurance industry experience
• Public accounting experience
• Accounting and reporting experience
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• CPA

At Zurich, compensation is influenced by various factors including location, role, skills, and experience. The salary range for this position is $94,100.00 - $154,000.00, with short-term incentive bonuses of 15% for the Senior Financial Reporting Analyst and 20% for the AVP - Financial Reporting.
