Job description

Zurich North America is hiring an AVP - Financial Reporting or Senior Financial Reporting Analyst to join our team!

We are open to hiring talent in one of the following locations: Schaumburg, IL.

Responsibilities:

• Completion of monthly/quarterly close tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations, and other supporting schedules.
• Deliver management financial statements and analysis of results.
• Completion of quarterly IFRS submissions to Group.
• Completion of quarterly/annual statutory filings, including separate accounts.
• Develop a good working knowledge of relevant IFRS and statutory accounting principles.
• Deliver solutions for large, highly complex projects.

This role will be filled at either the Senior OR AVP Level. The hiring manager will determine the appropriate level based upon the selected applicant’s experience and skill set relative to the qualifications listed for this position.

Qualifications:

Senior Financial Reporting Analyst:

• Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance
  OR
• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance
  OR
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including Associate Degree and 6+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance
  AND
• Experience with accounting and financial reporting, general ledger, and reporting tools

AVP - Financial Reporting:

• Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance
  OR
• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 12+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance
  AND
• Knowledge and experience using accounting principles

Preferred Qualifications:

• Insurance industry experience
• Public accounting experience
• Accounting and reporting experience
• Project management experience
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• CPA

The salary range for this position is $94,100 - $154,000, with short-term incentive bonuses of 15% for Senior Financial Reporting Analyst and 20% for AVP.
