Job summary

Athene is seeking an AVP for Finance & Actuarial Technology Delivery to lead strategy, execution, and engineering of technology solutions supporting Actuarial, Finance, and Reinsurance. This leader will build scalable, secure platforms enabling actuarial processing, liability data management, reinsurance onboarding, and downstream financial reporting while modernizing core capabilities.

Qualifications

8+ years of relevant experience, including 4+ years in leadership overseeing enterprise engineering or platform development for finance/actuarial domains.
Proven track record delivering large-scale technology delivery, modern engineering practices, and cross-functional solutions.
Strong understanding of actuarial, finance, accounting, liability data, reinsurance, or related processes; able to translate needs into scalable tech.

Responsibilities

Lead the strategy, delivery, and modernization of tech solutions supporting actuarial processing, liability data, reinsurance onboarding, and finance integration.
Build and lead an engineering org focused on Liability Data Mart/Subledger and Reinsurance tech; develop leadership and operating model.
Partner with Actuarial, Finance, Reinsurance Accounting, and Technology leaders to design integrated solutions connecting data, structures, and reporting.
Establish engineering excellence through modern software practices, cloud-native architecture, automation, DevOps, QA, and governance.
Champion AI-enabled delivery with governance, analytics, and automation to improve productivity and outcomes.
