New York City Economic Development Corporation is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Field Operations and Maintenance in New York, NY. The role oversees Vacant and Development Lots and Area Maintenance programs, ensuring cleaning, maintenance, and public realm services across five boroughs.

It requires leadership of supervisors and field crews, budget oversight, and strong stakeholder coordination. The AVP will manage daily operations, procurement, reporting, and compliance while maintaining

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Facilities Management, Business or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in program operations, supervision of personnel, field operations, or maintenance programs.
• Strong written and verbal communication with attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal oversight.
• Available for 24-hour on-call response; NYC residency required within 180 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day management of Vacant/Development Lots and Area Maintenance programs.
• Oversee supervisors, field staff, work crews, and partners for cleaning and public realm maintenance.
• Monitor planning and deploy crews; coordinate logistics and equipment.
• Provide staff supervision, coaching, and performance management.
• Manage annual program budget and procurements.
• Prepare reports and ensure compliance and stakeholder communication.
