Job summary

kW Mission Critical Engineering, a WSP company, is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Electrical Engineering to manage and design complex electrical systems across data centers. The role involves leading a team of electrical engineers, developing budgets, and presenting technical solutions to clients.

You will work out of Houston or Dallas offices, guiding projects from concept through construction while ensuring safety and compliance with relevant codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with electrical building systems emphasis.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience mentoring and training others in the field.

Responsibilities

• Design complex power and building systems (generator plants, MV distribution, UPS, lighting, fire alarm, grounding).
• Lead projects and a team of electrical engineers.
• Produce high-quality deliverables for projects and proposals.
• Lead client meetings and coordinate multi-discipline teams.
• Develop work plans, budgets, and manage client interactions.
