WSP USA's kW Mission Critical Engineering in Tempe, AZ, seeks an Assistant Vice President, Electrical Engineering to lead design of complex power and building systems for data centers and critical facilities, including generator plants, MV distribution, UPS, lighting, fire alarm, and grounding.

You will guide projects and a team of electrical engineers, present solutions to clients, manage budgets, mentor junior staff, and coordinate multi-discipline teams from award through completion, while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Architectural Engineering with electrical emphasis.
• 10+ years of experience designing electrical systems for mission critical/data center buildings.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality technical deliverables for projects and proposals.
• Lead the development of initial electrical system concepts.
• Present complex technical solutions to clients.
• Manage and mentor junior staff.
• Coordinate multi-discipline project teams through design and execution.
• Develop work plans addressing issues within time and budget.
• Oversee drawings and specifications for issuance to architects and contractors.
• Lead client meetings and maintain client relationships.
