Job summary

kW Mission Critical Engineering, a WSP company, is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Electrical Engineering to lead design of complex power and building systems at the Atlanta office. You will direct generator plants, MV distribution, UPS, lighting, fire alarm, grounding, and related structures while guiding a team.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience, a PE license, strong communication, and Revit/BIM familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with electrical building systems emphasis.
• 10+ years designing electrical systems for high performing, commercial, industrial or mission critical/data center buildings.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE).
• Experience mentoring and training others in the field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact well with others and contribute to high quality deliverables.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and codes.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality technical deliverables for projects and proposals.
• Lead development of initial electrical system concepts.
• Present complex technical solutions to clients.
• Manage and coordinate project teams and projects.
• Develop work plans to address technical issues within time and budget.
• Coordinate drawing and specification documents for issuance to architects and contractors.
