Job summary

IAT Insurance Group seeks an AVP, Actuary to lead the Management Liability actuarial function across pricing, reserving and rate filings. The role requires deep industry knowledge, strong leadership, and the ability to manage analytics teams in a hybrid work setting with in-office Mon-Wed and remote Thu-Fri.

Primary duties include pricing analyses, reserve estimation, capital allocation, and cross-functional collaboration with underwriting, claims, and IT to drive profitability and strategic

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• Minimum 10 years of related work experience.
• Solid background in P&C commercial insurance, Management Liability forms/rules.
• Ability to lead and manage a team; strong insurance industry knowledge.
• Experience training staff and working with management and analytics teams.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide actuarial insights for Management Liability product suite (EPLI, Crime, D&O).
• Collaborate across underwriting, claims, IT and senior management.
• Develop tools to measure profitability; monitor rate actions and retention.
• Develop capital allocation models and communicate results organization-wide.
• Estimate loss reserves for financial statements; determine product rates.
• Support state-by-state rate filings and product enhancements.
