Job summary

Pacific Coast Entertainment, the West Coast’s fastest growing end-to-end AVL production partner, is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to support our San Diego operations. You will design complete installed AVL systems for theatres and commercial environments, meet with clients on site, and translate requirements into scalable, maintainable system designs.

The role reports to the Director of Sales and involves 85% office work with occasional client-site visits; ideal candidates have 3+ years

Qualifications

• Three or more years designing, installing, commissioning or supporting commercial AVL systems.
• Strong understanding of AVL signal flow, system integration and installation practices.
• Ability to read and develop technical drawings and system documentation.
• Ability to compare products and recommend solutions based on application, budget, reliability and future expansion.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Sales in executing sales strategies, customer opportunities, and project pursuits.
• Design complete installed AVL systems for theatre, house of worship, hospitality, education, themed entertainment, and other commercial environments.
• Attend customer meetings, site visits, and project walkthroughs to identify goals, budgets and constraints.
• Develop bills of materials, equipment lists, scopes of work, system descriptions, and estimates.
• Ensure proposed systems are complete, compatible, and easy for the client to operate.
• Evaluate product options based on performance, availability, cost, support and long-term scalability.
• Present technical recommendations in clear, approachable language.
• Collaborate with sales team, project managers and installation technicians throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review substitutions and design changes to confirm they meet original requirements.
• Maintain knowledge of AVL technologies, manufacturers, industry standards, and emerging solutions.
• Process customer purchase orders, contracts, credit applications and related documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
