Job summary

AVA Inc. is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer for Custom Installers in the United States.

You will bridge customer requirements with system design, configure and validate AVA control systems, including the AVA Cinema Remote, and travel regularly within your territory. You are an exceptional technical expert in smart home and AV systems, a natural teacher, and comfortable presenting to dealers and end users.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of professional experience in AV systems engineering, commissioning, or integration.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, commission, and validate AV and control systems.
• Develop system architecture and ensure proper functionality across audio, video, control, and networking components.
• Troubleshoot complex system-level issues, perform root-cause analysis, and provide technical guidance during deployment and post-installation.
• Assist in developing intuitive user interfaces that deliver clean, user-friendly control experiences.
• Report back on feedback from dealers, owners, and partners on how to improve current products and opportunities for AVA to deliver on new products and features.
• Work closely with Sales on customer opportunities, solution design, competitive positioning, and market development.
• Partner with Technical Support to resolve complex hardware and software issues.
• Support regional and national trade shows, customer training events, and technical demonstrations.
• Travel regularly throughout the assigned region.
