Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Electronics Engineer to develop and execute avionics test plans in Chandler, AZ. You will lead cross-functional teams across hardware, software, and manufacturing to ensure robust qualification testing and data integrity.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering with 2 years test experience or an MS with 0, plus hands-on scripting (Perl/Python) and routine use of lab equipment. Onsite work in Chandler, AZ is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent STEM discipline with 2 years of related test experience or an MS and 0.
• Experience authoring test procedures and ensuring data integrity and cataloging.
• Experience with test execution, troubleshooting, and formal requirement decomposition with traceability and verification.
• Working knowledge of standard test equipment: network analyzers, oscilloscopes, waveform generators, synthesizers, digitizers, and/or signal analyzers.
• Proficient in test scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or equivalent.
• US Citizenship required.
• Ability to work onsite full-time in Chandler, AZ.

Responsibilities

• Develop test requirements and detailed avionics component test plans, procedures, readiness reviews (TRRs), test data, and reports.
• Execute qualification testing in accordance with established requirements, plans, and procedures.
• Conduct qualification tests while managing and prioritizing problem resolution.
• Compile data to determine necessary changes in test equipment, procedures, or to establish new test requirements.
• Lead cross-functional teams (including hardware, software, and manufacturing engineers) in both laboratory and field environments.
• Conduct formal technical reviews, such as Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs) with internal stakeholders and external customers.
