Job summary

Blue Origin LLC offers an Avionics Software Intern opportunity, where you will work directly with Blue engineering teams on projects across launch vehicle systems. Interns gain hands-on, real-world experience under mentorship, with exposure to full software lifecycle and safety-critical embedded software development.

The role requires current undergraduate enrollment, strong programming skills (C, C++, Python), and the ability to work full-time for at least 15 weeks.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program with at least one semester remaining after internship.
• Willingness to work full time for a minimum of 15 weeks while not enrolled in coursework.
• Strong written, verbal, communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and test avionics software for programs from orbital rockets to moon landers.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to verify and validate safety-critical, real-time embedded software for launch vehicle systems.
• Write and review code in C, C++, and Python for embedded and application environments; participate in full software lifecycle.
