Job summary

SpaceX’s Starlink Aviation team seeks a Hardware Reliability Specialist to ensure avionics hardware operates in harsh environments. You will perform electrical debugging, root-cause investigations, and work with design, test, and manufacturing to improve product reliability and prevent future failures.

The role requires hands-on experience with debugging tools, EE principles, and strong communication to share data insights with management and production teams. Weekend hours may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 1+ years of experience in engineering, reliability, manufacturing, or quality field.
• Experience with electrical debugging tools such as oscilloscopes.
• Experience with electrical engineering principles, including circuit schematics, analog/digital signals, RF, wireless comms, and semiconductors.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical debugging and fault isolation on complex electronic systems.
• Conduct root cause investigations and identify failure modes and mechanisms.
• Apply first principles to debug and find patterns across failing units.
• Develop and execute test plans to validate hypotheses.
• Collaborate with design, test, and manufacturing to implement improvements.
• Analyze production/test/field data to identify trends for manufacturing improvements.
• Communicate technical data insights to stakeholders to drive action.
