Job summary

Blue Origin seeks an Avionics Integration engineer to support and represent the Avionics Integration team on the Rocket Manufacturing and Integration floor. You will participate in all aspects of engineering, design, fabrication, installation and test for New Glenn hardware.

The role requires hands-on work across shifts to support vehicle development, with focus on avionics components, harness installation, and quality documentation to enable safe, repeatable spaceflight.

Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 2+ years of avionic integration/test experience.
  • Hands-on experience with harness fabrication/installation.
  • Experience with ECAD/MCAD to support vehicle integration.
  • Familiar with IPC/WHMA-A-620A, NASA-STD-8739.4.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Avionics technical POC across all work centers on the floor.
  • Support selection of avionics components during integration and test.
  • Create and disposition Non-Conformances and discrepancy reports.
  • Create/update redline drawings for 2D/3D electrical harness drawings and LRU installations.
  • Release Redline drawings in Windchill.
  • Support DfX improvements to boost rate and efficiency on the floor.
  • Support process development with Design and Integration/Test teams.
  • Provide technical guidance for Avionics Installations.
  • Assist with assembly, integration, test, and troubleshooting of cables and LRUs.
  • Report on activity schedule and technical status.
