Job summary

Blue Origin in Seattle, WA is seeking a systems integration specialist for New Glenn avionics to own CONOPS, system architecture, and verification reporting across the flight vehicle lifecycle.

You will define constraints, hazard analyses, and collaborate with stage leads to ensure safe, reliable operation during pre-launch through flight. Strong communication across Electrical, Software, and Mechanical teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years of Avionics operations experience across analysis, design, test, and launch operations.
• Hands-on experience developing, authoring, and implementing integrated tests or operating launch vehicles.
• Ability to work with partially defined requirements and changing criteria.
• Experience with analyses and trade studies for sophisticated avionics systems.
• Engaging communicator able to explain difficult engineering concepts to multiple engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Build detailed CONOPS for pre-launch and flight operations.
• Define safety artifacts such as Functional Hazard Assessments and Allocations, FMECA, Fault Tree Analyses.
• Define Avionics system specifications and collaborate with other teams to provide verification reports.
• Define constraints for end-to-end safe handling and successful testing and launch operations.
• Collaborate with integrated test, launch operations, and autonomous flight operations teams to incorporate constraints into procedures and flight plans.
• Provide real-time engineering anomaly resolution during integrated test and launch operations.
