Job summary

Blue Origin in Colorado is seeking an experienced avionics hardware engineer to own the development and delivery of hardware products across the full lifecycle, from requirements to sustainment. You will drive architecture decisions, coordinate with suppliers, and lead hands-on testing to ensure safe, reliable, and manufacturable flight hardware for lunar vehicles.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Computer, Aerospace, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in design, development, build, integration, test, or verification of avionics hardware.
  • Experience leading major portions of hardware development lifecycle.
  • Experience with digital/analog/mixed-signal hardware, component selection, PCB design, or packaging.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting with lab equipment and root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Own development and delivery of avionics hardware products across lifecycle: requirements, interfaces, design, build, integration, verification, qualification, release, sustainment.
  • Drive technical decisions, requirements decomposition, interface definition, trade studies, and architecture activities for integrated avionics hardware.
  • Plan and execute hands-on hardware integration, verification, qualification, acceptance testing; troubleshoot anomalies and drive root cause.
  • Collaborate with manufacturers/suppliers for PCB assembly, box build, inspection, and producibility improvements.
  • Lead cross-functional resolution with electrical, mechanical, embedded software, FPGA, controls, systems, manufacturing, and mission assurance teams.
