Job summary

Blue Origin, based in Washington, is seeking an avionics-focused engineer to lead the design, analysis, and testing of advanced avionic boards used in lunar and spaceflight systems. You will own projects across the full lifecycle, from concept through production, and collaborate across teams to ensure robust, safe, and reliable hardware for space vehicles.

The role emphasizes hands-on development in digital, analog, and mixed-signal circuits, with expectations of cross-functional coordination

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
  • 2+ years in design, development, test, and operation of vehicle Avionics systems.
  • Experience with analog, digital or mixed-signal circuit design and testing.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, lead, and own digital, analog, and/or mixed-signal avionic designs that interact with avionics systems.
  • Own avionics boards across the lifecycle from concept through production.
  • Support trades, performance characterization, and device selection.
  • Conduct FMECA, WCCA, DFx, and root‑cause analyses of test discrepancies.
  • Participate in technology development, mission assurance, and avionics process improvements.
  • Communicate development status and risks to management.
