Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced engineer to support the test and operation of avionics guidance, navigation and control systems for the New Glenn launch vehicle. You will develop, manage, and execute integrated tests, processing vehicle systems from launch site receipt through launch and landing.

The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, sequencing code creation, and collaboration with embedded software teams for OFP deployment, with shifts that include nights and weekends to support

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering degree in a relevant field is required.
• Experience with avionics GNC design, integration, testing, or operations.
• Familiarity with code review processes and CLI usage.
• Knowledge of firmware vs software in avionics components (FPGA/PLC).
• Strong operations planning and organizational skills.
• Excellent technical communication in a launch-control environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, support, and execute integrated tests and operations for avionics GNC SW/HW.
• Process assigned vehicle systems from stage receipt at the launch site through launch and landing.
• Create engineering plans, procedures, data products, and HMI displays for launch readiness.
• Coordinate with embedded software teams for deployment and updates of OFP to avionics.
• Work shifts including nights and weekends to support launches and testing.
• Perform post-flight data reviews and implement process improvements.
