Job summary

Gauge Engineering Services is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to support next-generation airborne mission computer systems used in military helicopter platforms. You will develop embedded software for single-board computers interfacing with avionics, mission, and weapons systems.

The role emphasizes C/C++ programming, Linux and RTOS environments, and rigorous adherence to requirements, build sheets, and technical documentation, with opportunities to contribute to internal R&D on defense

Qualifications

Experience programming in C/C++ for embedded systems.
Experience with Linux and RTOS environments.

Responsibilities

Develop embedded software in C/C++ for single board computer platforms.
Design, develop, and maintain device drivers interfacing with hardware and FPGA-based systems.
Work within Linux-based operating systems and RTOS environments (e.g., LynxOS, Integrity).
Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning and delivery.
Interpret technical requirements, build instructions, and documentation with accuracy.
Integrate, troubleshoot, and validate software with hardware subsystems.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on avionics and mission system technologies.
Support internal R&D projects with defense-related technologies.
Contribute to software verification, debugging, and performance optimization.
