Job summary

GE Aerospace seeks a Lead Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, integrate, and verify embedded software for avionics data storage and transfer on custom hardware. You will work across the full lifecycle with a focus on architecture, requirements, design, and certification documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of software design and development experience, or GE Edison Engineering Program.
• Strong C programming skills for embedded software applications.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
• U.S. citizenship status is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead embedded software development for Data Storage and Transfer avionics products.
• Contribute across the full development lifecycle: planning, requirements, design, implementation, integration, verification, and documentation.
• Develop software architecture and major components; integrate with hardware platforms and support lab bring-up and debugging.
• Develop low-level software including drivers, networking, file systems, and related functionality.
• Support system integration, verification, and DO-178B processes; collaborate with systems, hardware, and test teams.
