Job summary

Avionics/Electronics Aircraft Mechanic I position at Amentum involves performing maintenance on flight controls, avionics, and cryptographic equipment, while maintaining and testing complex electrical systems. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with varied tools and procedures.

Candidates should meet the minimum experience or A&P license criteria, and be prepared to obtain facility credentials.

Qualifications

• Valid up-to-date A&P license.
• If no A&P license, 3 years aviation maintenance experience with 2 years rotary wing and 2 years on the assigned MDS.
• All experience within the last 6 years.
• Must obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at the work location.
• Tools are Required; must provide own shadowed/etched Tools and Tool box.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance checks on aircraft flight controls, stabilization systems, avionics and cryptographic equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment and diagnose repairs.
• Maintain and test avionics and electrical systems including power generation, distribution, integrated avionics, sensors and health monitoring.
