Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Avionics/Electronics Aircraft Mechanic I in Groton, CT. The role focuses on maintenance checks, troubleshooting, and electrical system testing with complex software/hardware integration across avionics, power, and navigation systems.

The position requires A&P certification or equivalent experience within the last six years, with US citizenship for credentials. Candidates must provide shadowed tools and be able to obtain facility credentials for access.

Qualifications

• Valid up-to-date A&P license.
• If no A&P license, shall have Three (3) years aviation maintenance experience, Two (2) years rotary wing aircraft experience, and Two (2) years on the assigned MDS.
• All experience must be within the Six (6) most recent years.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for a facility credentials/authorization at the work location.
• Tools are Required; must provide own shadowed/etched Tools and Tool box.

Responsibilities

• Performing maintenance checks on aircraft flight controls, stabilization systems, avionics and controlled cryptographic equipment.
• Maintaining common/special tools and equipment.
• Troubleshooting equipment and diagnose repairs.
• Maintaining and testing avionics and electrical systems with integration of complex software and hardware, including electrical power generation and distribution systems, integrated avionics systems and displaces, communication and navigation systems, mission equipment integration, sensors, and vehicle health monitoring systems.
