Job summary

RTX in Cedar Rapids seeks a software engineer to develop safety-critical software for avionics displays. You will design, develop, document, test, and debug low-level software interacting with hardware via I2C, SPI, or PCIe, and work on middleware and applications containing logical and mathematical algorithms.

You will implement build procedures, collaborate with project teammates, and ensure compliance with requirements and certification processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field obtained by start date.
• Experience in embedded C++, bare metal, or Platform Level Software.
• Experience may be gained through on-the-job work, coursework or projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop safety-critical software for avionics displays.
• Design, develop, document, test and debug low-level software using SoC peripherals and buses such as I2C, SPI or PCIe.
• Create middleware and application software with logical and mathematical algorithms.
• Perform hardware and software integration, resolving timing, signal slew and power-on sequencing issues.
• Build procedures to support hardware/software product development and collaborate with the project team.
