Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Commodity Manager for avionics to lead sourcing strategies and supplier collaboration across programs, ensuring timely delivery and cost effectiveness of critical components.

You will assess suppliers, drive long-term agreements, and work with cross-functional teams to balance technical needs with business goals, while advancing the mission of safer, more affordable spaceflight.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in aerospace R&D and manufacturing supply chains.
• Strong ability to work across program, finance, engineering and other teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership in evaluating, sourcing, and developing the supply base for avionics commodities.
• Ensure supply base can deliver to commercial scope of component procurements on time and at lowest lifecycle cost.
• Conduct capability and capacity assessments and RFx activities for strategic procurements.
• Negotiate long-term agreements and manage supplier relationships across programs.
• Develop metrics and reports to track supplier performance and industry trends.
• Collaborate with program stakeholders to identify long-lead procurement requirements and gaps.
