Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Senior Commodity Manager for avionics to lead strategic sourcing of PCBA, CM management, and related components. You will guide supplier selection, negotiate agreements, and partner with Program, Finance, and Engineering to secure cost-effective supply for spaceflight programs.

The role requires 8+ years in aerospace sourcing, strong cross-functional collaboration, and travel up to 50%. A Bachelor’s degree is required; MBA is preferred.

Qualifications

• 8+ years managing commodities in aerospace R&D or manufacturing environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing or related field.
• Extensive technical knowledge of avionics manufacturing processes.
• Proven track record driving supplier improvements in cost, quality, or schedule.
• Willingness to travel 25–50% and work across sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership in sourcing and development of avionics suppliers.
• Execute RFx activities and negotiate long-term agreements.
• Develop and monitor commodity metrics and supplier performance reports.
• Assess supplier capability, capacity, financial health, and risks.
• Lead supplier programs through organizational change and consolidation.
