Saab West Lafayette, IN seeks a Technical Writer to lead technical documentation efforts for the T-7A Redhawk program. You will act as the local SME, guide inspectors, and generate NCRs, inspection and FAI plans, and MRB dispositions to ensure high-quality deliverables.

The role requires strong written/verbal communication, experience with ISO 9001/AS9100 or IATF16949 systems, and the ability to work across shifts in a manufacturing environment. U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• AS Degree in Quality, Technical Writing, or related STEM discipline or 3 years’ related experience in a manufacturing quality role.
• Previous technical writing experience in manufacturing or quality operation is required.
• Ability to interpret and revise procedural documentation for consistency and repeatability.

Responsabilités

• Serve as local SME for technical writing and provide guidance/train inspectors across shifts.
• Report on writing performance and turnaround time to leadership.
• Identify common quality issues and establish corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Develop best practices for technical writing and maintain updates as needed.
• Create Nonconformance Reports (NCRs), Inspection Plans/Control Plans, FAIs, and MRB dispositions.
• Ensure alignment with customer/industry quality requirements; support project schedules.
