Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking a Technical Sales Manager to drive sales opportunities with a strong technical focus and aviation expertise. You will lead market analysis, prepare compelling proposals, and coordinate with Regional Sales Managers across multiple regions.

The role requires carrying out technical analyses, maintaining pricing data, and representing the company at industry events to grow client relationships and close deals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Airframe and Powerplant license or aviation technology degree.
• Strong technical knowledge in aviation maintenance and related products.
• Willingness to travel to customer events and maintain a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Salesforce.com, Amstat, Corridor to identify sales opportunities.
• Analyze market trends and competition to align with market findings.
• Prepare schedules of customers to target by next maintenance date.
• Call on customers to check maintenance status and organize opportunities.
• Coordinate with Regional Sales Managers on maintenance events in their region.
• Provide customers with technical support on maintenance requirements and proposal terms.
• Prepare sales presentations, contract reviews and proposals for successful transactions.
• Review quotes with Contract Administrators to ensure technical data accuracy.
• Conduct routine cost analyses of completed jobs against proposals.
• Maintain pricing databases for flat rate and time/material tasks.
• Attend industry trade shows to build or maintain relationships.
• Other duties as assigned.
