Job summary

Gulfstream Brunswick is seeking a RS Structural Mechanic I to join our operations team. Under moderate supervision, you will perform structural assembly, riveting, and drilling on detail parts and structures for FAA-compliant aircraft, reading blueprints and operating sheets to determine sequence.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, at least one year in structural assembly, and familiarity with blueprints; Solumina and Smarteam experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year related structural assembly experience.
• Experience with Solumina and Smarteam preferred.
• One year experience credit for Savannah Tech Aircraft Structures Technical Certificate Program.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly and fitting of detail parts and structures and varied drilling and riveting operations; ensure FAA compliance and Gulfstream quality standards.
• Rivet structural assemblies and parts, including sheetmetal parts, using required tools.
• Read work orders, blueprints, lofts, sketches, and operation sheets to determine sequence and hole patterns.
• Check all work and ensure a defect-free assembly prior to final inspection.
• Maintain logs and records and enter daily labor against Work Orders and item numbers.
• Align and assemble parts using jigs, fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners.
• Maintain a neat, safe work area and comply with safety regulations.
• Work under moderate supervision on duties and tasks.
• Keep shop and aircraft areas clean and uncluttered; care for shop equipment.
• Comply with safety rules and perform other duties as assigned.
