Job summary

Swissport International seeks a Station Trainer to deliver classroom and on-the-job training, oversee airline-specific programs, and sign-off on competencies while acting as interim supervisor for new hires. The role ensures compliance with Swissport standards and drives training excellence across stations in the Americas region.

The position includes airline cargo operations training, detailed assessments, and ongoing coaching, with occasional travel up to 10% and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of industry experience in airline cargo operations.
• High School Diploma or equivalent demonstrating problem solving and stakeholder management.
• Ability to travel up to 10% across the US and Canada for duties.
• Ability to pass security clearance and hold a valid driver's license.
• Strong communication skills and influencing without authority for goals.
• Proficient computer skills; MS Office highly recommended.
• Customer service oriented with flexible shifts for training demands.
• Knowledge of adult learning, instructional design and evaluation methods.

Responsibilities

• Deliver training in instructor-led, virtual and e-learning formats.
• Oversee cargo operations training including final assessments and sign-off.
• Follow Swissport policies and safe work procedures in all tasks.
• Monitor station practices and promote best practices.
• Implement internal quality assurance and training audits.
• Assess staff training needs and maintain regulatory compliance.
• Maintain communication with SMEs to keep training relevant.
• Serve as role model and provide coaching to peers.
• Report training activity and maintain data accuracy.
• Support nearby stations and plan for new hire training needs.
• Deliver initial and recurrent training per global/local standards.
• Administer examinations and reports for training programs.
• Assist with new hire tracking and onboarding transitions.
• Support on-the-job coaching and coach development as tier-one support.
• Maintain currency in station operations and adapt to changes.
