Job summary

Swissport in Anchorage, Alaska is seeking a Station Trainer to deliver classroom and on-the-job training, oversee airline-specific programs, and sign off on employee competencies. The role also acts as interim supervisor until staff are ready to work independently in Ground Handling operations.

The position requires at least 1 year of airline cargo operations experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel up to 10% across the United States and Canada.

Qualifications

• Willingness to travel up to 10% across US/Canada.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Familiarity with adult learning concepts and instructional design.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instructor-led and practical Cargo training including sign-offs.
• Oversee classroom and on-the-job training and ensure compliance with policies.
• Follow Swissport procedures and SSOW/SOP in training activities.
• Monitor and promote best practices at the station.
• Coordinate with SMEs and regional managers on training needs.
• Provide feedback and coaching to staff to improve performance.
