Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. in Grand Junction, CO is seeking a Sheet Metal Technician for a full-time, on-site role. You will perform sheet metal operations on aircraft structures, read blueprints, and work from drawings while following FAA guidelines.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent; Airframe and Powerplant license is preferred. Prior sheet metal experience is valued, with opportunities to supervise crews and set priorities for projects.

Qualifications

• Basic to advanced sheet metal operations on airframes and components.
• Reading blueprints and working from drawings.
• Understanding fastening systems and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic sheet metal operations such as drilling, riveting, cutting on airframe and components.
• Apply and remove sealant, sound deadening and finish materials.
• Maintain and repair shop facilities, equipment and tooling as required.
• Navigate electronic training, manuals and maintenance databases with basic computer skills.
• Communicate effectively in English.
