Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking a Sheet Metal Technician in Cahokia Heights, IL. This full-time, on-site role involves working with turbine aircraft structures, blueprints, and various fastening systems, with opportunities to supervise crews and organize manpower on projects.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent; an A&P license is preferred. Prior sheet metal experience is welcomed. Company offers comprehensive benefits and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; A&P license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic sheet metal operations such as drilling, riveting, cutting on airframe and components.
• Apply and remove sealant, sound deadening and finish materials.
• Maintain, clean and repair shop facilities, equipment and tooling as required.
• Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
• Communicate effectively in English.
