V2X, Inc. is seeking a Level II Sheet Metal Mechanic to fabricate, assemble, install, and repair aerospace sheet metal components and assemblies.

You will perform layouts, operate fabricating equipment, and inspect work to ensure adherence to engineering drawings, manuals, and company procedures. The role requires understanding of safety practices and cooperation with other departments, with no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of experience repairing sheet metal components for fixed-wing aircraft.

Responsabilités

• Fabricates, assembles, installs, and repairs production sheet metal products and equipment such as aircraft wings, inlets, landing gear doors, etc.
• Makes sheet metal layouts; sets up and operates fabricating machinery; shapes metal over anvils, blocks, or forms; operates welding and soldering equipment, and inspects assemblies and installations for conformance to specifications.
• May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
• Assists in troubleshooting system malfunctions to formulate corrective actions.
• Exhibits positive courteous behavior with customers and coworkers.
