Job summary

V2X, Inc. in Kingsville, TX seeks an experienced Aircraft Structural Mechanic to perform structural repairs, modifications and inspections on aircraft and associated equipment.

You will use manuals, schematics and tools to ensure airworthiness and adherence to safety standards. The role requires at least three years of hands-on experience, familiarity with corrosion control, and the ability to read, write and communicate in English.

Qualifications

• Completed High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three (3) years experience as an Airframe Structural Mechanic.
• Familiar with aircraft systems, tools, drawings, schematics and safety requirements.
• Experience in corrosion detection, treatment and prevention.
• FAA Airframe license desired but not required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD CAC.

Responsibilities

• Performs structural repairs/modifications, removal and reinstallation actions; part fabrication; layouts for structural integrity and completeness.
• Operates and sets up shop metal-working equipment, tools, fixtures and fastener installation tooling.
• Develops and determines structural repair and replacement requirements and procedures.
• Inspects metal, plastic, phenolic and fiberglass parts and fabrication procedures for quality and completeness.
• Maintains required records and maintenance forms; uses publications to troubleshoot and repair.
