Job summary

V2X is seeking an Aircraft Sheet Metal Mechanic II to perform depot level maintenance on V-22 aircraft metal and composite parts, including disassembly, repair, and reassembly. You will analyze structural damage, fabricate repairs, and ensure tolerances meet standards.

The role requires strong technical skills in airframe systems, ability to read blueprints, and compliance with safety and security requirements; valid DoD clearance is needed for access.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Civilian or military aircraft airframes or sheet metal experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform Depot Level Maintenance on V-22 aircraft metal and composite parts.
• Must be able to perform Depot Level repair of H-53 and V-22 aircraft components, including propeller repair.
• Maintains repairs and modifies aircraft structures and components with moderate to complex difficulty.
• Applies technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems to diagnose malfunctions.
• Applies comprehensive technical expertise to solve problems from blueprints and specifications.
• Manufactures and installs new parts, repairs and patching with proper riveting and joining techniques.
• Maintain qualifications in Advance Skills Management; attend online mandatory training.
• Assist in maintaining NAMP Programs and ensure safety procedures are followed.
