Job summary

Cordoba Corporation is seeking an Assistant Aviation Project Manager in Los Angeles to assist the Project Manager with scope, cost, schedule, and operations for a major Replacement Fire Station project. The role focuses on schedule certainty, budget delivery, and quality while enforcing health, safety, and environmental culture.

you will support design, construction, testing and turnover plans and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• 10 years or more experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Planning or other related technical field.
• Optional certifications may include AAAE, LEED, PE, PMP, AICP, etc. or any other relevant professional license or certifications.
• DBIA certification strongly preferred
• Experience with projects more than $40 million in value.
• Experience with Design-Build Delivery and specifically Progressive Design-Build
• Proven ability to perform in a management capacity
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam
• Proficient in Project Management / Project Controls software

Responsibilities

• Primary liaison and airport/owner representative responsible for directing and managing the project
• Scope development and scope management to meet goals and objectives
• Develop GMP and oversee the trade procurement process
• Ensure on-schedule completion within or below budget per contract obligations
• Plan goals and align with owner objectives, contract terms, and airport policies
• Direct and control execution of all technical, fiscal, and administrative functions
• Collaborate with airport management to develop budgets and schedules
• Oversee the Design Manager and DRR design review processes
• Monitor permitting and construction to remove obstacles
• Ensure QA/QC and safety excellence on the project
• Prepare monthly risk reports and oversee closeout documentation
