Job summary

The Inland Group of Companies in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Project Engineer to plan, coordinate and monitor engineering projects from initiation to completion. You will work with senior management and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Location: Pittsburgh, PA. The role involves planning, design development, construction, commissioning, and start-up activities, while supporting a strong safety-first culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering or related field
• Minimum 5 years engineering experience with mechanical, chemical and electrical industrial equipment and systems
• Proven ability to develop detailed project plans, WBS, critical path schedules and milestones
• Strong project coordination and execution skills for fast-paced environments
• Excellent written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders
• Experience preparing reports, presentations, and status updates for management
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with formal project management methodologies is an asset

Responsibilities

• Promote and model a strong safety culture and ensure policy, environmental, and regulatory compliance
• Independently manage moderate to high-complexity projects from scope through closeout
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, milestones, and performance measures
• Coordinate project execution and adjust plans to meet objectives
• Manage project documentation, reporting, and stakeholder communications
• Coordinate teams, contractors, suppliers, and external partners for successful delivery
• Review outcomes against objectives and implement corrective actions
• Prepare project and status reports while maintaining relationships with internal and external partners
